Prof. Arvind Rangaswamy

Dr. Rangaswamy is the Anchel Professor of Marketing, and co-founder and Research Director of the eBusiness Research Center at the Smeal College of Business, Pennsylvania State University. He has previously been a faculty member at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.

Dr. Rangaswamy’s research explores the role and impact of technology-enabled marketing. Specifically, his research is focused on two areas: (1) Developing and implementing analytical and empirical models that support real-world marketing decision making, and (2) Understanding how the online medium influences marketing processes and outcomes. He has published numerous research papers in leading journals, and is recognized internationally for his work.

Dr. Rangaswamy’s pharmaceutical experience includes projects with Bristol-Myers Squibb, Pfizer, Upjohn, Johnson & Johnson, and UCB Pharma.
